Introduction

Ad Nauseam is an Alliance guild on the Draka PVE server seeking mature players of all levels for casual play. We intend to be a balance of family, pvp, and raiding. We are not a hard core raiding guild. We are more concerned with building a family setting of players that are not in a rush to hit end-game content. We understand people have lives outside of WoW. We are mostly adults, friends, family and couples. Play time is based around work and family life. If this sounds like something you are interested in please go over our guild rules below, post an application in the forums, and join today.

I

Be respectful of your fellow guild members
We’re all adults here, and we should all act like one. Try to keep in mind that some people may be offended by something you tend to find entertaining. If you’re on Ventrilo, please be respectful of other members who may have family and/or children within earshot. It may be cliché, but it still applies, treat others as you would wish to be treated.

II

Be helpful to your fellow guild members
Throughout our time with WoW we all come across certain needs. Do your best to assist others in the guild when help is requested. This especially goes for players who keep a higher pace of leveling. Remember that it takes 40+ people at level 60 to complete any end-game content, so it is in your best interest as well to assist those still making their way up the ranks.

III

Quality is greater than Quantity
The guild will never be on mass invite status. When asking officers to extend an invite to another player, be sure they fit our overall description as shown in the Introduction. All new players will be asked to complete an application on the guild forums and agree to guild policies.

a. The use of Alternate Characters in the guild
Alternate characters are allowed in the guild, but are limited to 2 per player. Exceptions will be made for Quartermasters and their need for additional storage.

IV

Internal Issues
It is understood that throughout the life of the guild, problems will arise. In the event there is an issue between members, an officer is to be contacted about the problem. A new chat channel will be opened and the three will discuss the matter at hand. All resolutions, if any, made by the officer are final. Only the Guild Master can change the outcome of a given resolution.

V

Removal from the guild
It is never our intent to force someone from the guild. However, situations can arise that are subject to removal. The following will apply:

a. Inactivity
Any player listed inactive in the guild listing for more than 30 days is subject to removal. If a situation arises where you know you are going to be gone for extended time, notify a guild officer. Officers are subject to demotion if absent for more than 15 days, again unless otherwise notified. <

b. Poor Conduct
Any player demonstrating extremely poor taste towards another guild member, or purposefully disrespecting a fellow member will be subject to removal.

c. Greed
Any player who demonstrates greediness or selfishness is subject to removal from the guild. Greed will be described in the following loot rules. Cooperation is the key to a successful guild. Anyone unwilling to cooperate and instead profit solely for himself, will be removed.

VI

Instance Loot Rules

a. Need before Greed - Bind on Equip
The system Blizzard has put in place is a no-brainer. If it is an item you can legitimately use, roll need. Otherwise roll greed.

b. Need before Greed - Bind on Pickup
To prevent any mistakes, everyone PASSES on bind on pickup items. The group should then discuss any need for the item. Those in need will /roll. If no one needs, everyone will /roll greed. The winner can then ask an enchanter to pickup the item and disenchant it for him, giving the greed /roll winner the shard.

c. Consider the level of “Need”
Generally speaking you will be grouping with fellow guild members. If that is the case, seriously consider how big of a need you have for an item. If you’re a warrior debating over replacing gloves with +7 sta and +3 spirit with the item that dropped (+7 sta and +3 agility) you don’t need that item compared to the other warrior in the group who is currently wearing gloves with +2 spirit and +3 agility.

d. Greed
If no one in the group has a serious need for an item, everyone roll greed. At that point any enchanters should ask the winner if they mind donating the item for disenchanting. With more than one enchanter in the group, a /roll should determine who gets to disenchant the item.

e. Think of your fellow guild members
Be mindful of the trade skills each person in your group has to determine who could use the drop, especially recipe drops. By donating a greeded item you won to a member that can use it to enhance their trade skill, you are benefiting the entire guild. The more apt our members are in their trade, the more you will benefit from them as fellow guild members.

Raid Loot Rules (See Below)

VIII.

Quartermasters – Trade skills
One Quartermaster for each crafting profession will be chosen. Any material collectors should donate as many materials to the associated quartermaster as possible. Any crafters not assigned as a quartermaster will not have top priority on materials. The more you donate the more you will benefit from that particular Quartermaster. If you need any items from a certain profession, send your request via in-game mail to the Quartermaster. They will then check donation status, inventory, and availability before sending the item.

IX.

Guild Ranks
Throughout your time with the guild you could become eligible for a higher rank. Each rank comes with benefits and responsibilities to the guild. When being recommended for promotion, please consider if you’re willing to accept any of the responsibilities associated with it.

1. Guild Master
The Guild Master is responsible for all general policies and procedures within the guild. He will determine any changes or corrections to a resolution set by an officer, if the need arises. Responsibilities include recruiting, website maintenance, resolution conflict, roster management, event planning, raid coordination, etc.

2. Officer
One officer will be chosen from each class. They will represent their fellow guild members of that class. Any issues with class recruitment, class expectations, etc should be brought to your class representative. Responsibilities for Officers include recruiting, resolution conflict, class management, class raid coordination, etc. Officers have also been made for the guild bank, event coordinator, and recruitment. Other positions may be created on an “as needed” basis.

3. Quartermaster
Please see the Quartermaster description above. Quartermaster’s responsibilities include donation listings, material inventory, and crafting.

4. Member (Corporal and up)
Any initiate who has been active with the guild for more than 30 days will be immediately promoted to member, considered Members as well, and shares the same responsibilities. Members have access to quartermasters. Each member is responsible for donating as much crafting material to the quartermasters as possible. Each member represents our guild as a whole, and should show the same respect for other guilds’ members as they do their own.

5. Initiate (Private)
New recruits are placed on initiate status until they meet their 30 day activity requirement. Initiates are not allowed access to quartermasters.

Final Comments
Above all, remember that we are all in this together. We’ll have some great times together and score some great loot off the game. Fights will happen, and tempers will flare, but above all we should maintain focus on forming a tight knit family that will enjoy WoW’s experiences together.

RAIDING GUIDELINES

Everyone participating in guild raids need the following:

1. Ventrilo.
This program is a must. It’s too time consuming to have to type out the directions to everyone when the leader of the raid can just tell us in a quarter of the time. Please make sure this is installed so you can at least hear. If you are leading the raid please have a working mic.

2. CT_Raid.
Newest Version. Please have the newest version of this installed for easier targeting of the Main Assist’s target and easier to manage group displays.

3. Access to the Forums.
People are no longer inducted into the guild if they can’t sign up and post on the forums. This tool is way too handy to not be used. All of our raids and times are posted here first, and there is a sign up sheet for each week. Preference will be given to those in the order that they sign up and by the classes they represent. (i.e., we don’t need 10 warriors)

4. KTM Threat Meter.
You need to know when your about to pull the mob off the main tank. Everyone needs this. Please have it installed.

5. Lucky Pet.
Please have a lucky pet in your inventory. Granted this may cause more harm than good during a raid but if AN was totally serious about stuff then it just wouldn’t be AN. So please bring your Darter Hatchling, Worg Pup, Speedy the Turtle, Treefrog, Horned Owl, Parrot, Chicken, Bunny, White Kitten, Dragon Whelp, or any other pet that you would prefer die at your side rather than sit in a bank. "Well gee whiz Ish, I'm a hunter/warlock and I already brought my pet and he's way cooler cause he actually attacks/seduces/aggros/gives a buff. So can I not bring another smaller practically useless pet to the party?" -Random Hunter/Warlock. "Thank you for asking Mr. Random Hunter/Warlock. No, where as your main pet is really cool I would still prefer that you bring your 'useless' one to fight along side the guild. You see RH/W...your 'useless' pet is actually a good luck charm that can see any fight through to the end. Without him we are nothing...and we need all the help we can get." –Ish.

(Casters you will also need this...)

1. Decursive.
This is a must for anyone with casting ability. If you don't have a blue bar then you don't need this.

2. RNS Incomming Heals (if your a healer).
Makes our healing life easier by not overhealing. Mana conservation ftw.

These rules are meant to make our raiding life easier.
If you have any trouble getting any of the add-ons or procuring a lucky pet please let one of the officers know. We will be happy to help you with getting the gear to raid.

The rules are not options.
If you do not have a necessary component you need to raid with us then you will be booted and put lowest priority on the substitute list. We need to have these components for things to go smoothly. Please come prepared.

Raid Loot Rules

a. AN is now following the Suicide Kings system. Please familiarize yourself with it here.

b. Please greed roll on all BOE items that drop from trash mobs.

ZG Specific:
Rare Bijous - Need untill you have one, and then greed the rest.
Greed all green items.

There it is, all the rules we have reguarding a raid.
Please make sure you are at the raid on time and completely prepared. If you do not come to a raid with the additions that AN requires then you will be dubbed a "filler". A "filler" means that you are you are up for raid removal if someone comes in with all the necessary requirements. "Filler" also means that you will get no loot for that raid. You will be frozen in the Suicide Kings list, and your character will not go up or down. It'll be like that raid never happened for you. These things are in place to make our raiding life smooth and easy. I don't like to hinder your progress in the game by not allowing you in on a raid, but I don't like 19 people getting upset for a raid going too late either. I hope you all understand.

Where to get stuff: (Note: may be outdated links as of WoW v2.0)
Decursive
KTM
Ventrilo
CT_Raid (download CT_RaidAssist and CT_RABossmods)
RNA Incomming Heals
Lucky Pet: Darnassus, Booty Bay, Westfall, AH...lucky pets are key.

Joining Ad Nauseam

Charter
We're looking for mature members of age 21 and up, who are interested in a casual yet close knit guild. We'd like to have applying members be level 30 or higher, but a desire to get involved in the guild holds much more importance. Make sure you have read the Guild Rules & Guidelines before applying. If you know a member of Ad Nauseam outside of the game and/or have a family member in Ad Nauseam, make a note of that person's character name. We will then need you to have that member contact us like a personal reference. An in game mail will do or perhaps a post on the forums. You must sign up on the Ad Nauseam forums and post in the Get to know Ad Nauseam section; your application will not be accepted if this simple criteria is not met. I have read and agree to follow the Ad Nauseam Guild Rules & Guidelines (which includes basic loot rules). All AN members with the Private tag are subject to a one month probationary period where you can be removed from the guild without a specific reason. It’s our “getting to know you” time.

DONATION RULES
Here is AN's donation policy. Please remember that donations are not mandatory but appreciated and the more you do put into the guild the more you will get out of it.

Donation Rules: (the who and how to donate)
Donations are not mandatory from anyone nor will they be mandatory at any time. They are set up so that the people who would like to give to the guild by means of items or materials can do so. Items are to be sent to the guild bank, Mayer, where they will be categorized and kept until requested or needed.

Donation Quality Limits: (what should you donate)
We are always happy to receive any donations but unfortunately that leads to a severe overcrowding of bank slots. Thus, items worth less than about 2g on the AH (as a very rough guide, this means green items that would sell to a vendor for less than about 70s) will almost always be disenchanted immediately upon receipt by the bank and the dusts/essences/shards sold or transferred to the Enchanting QM. Thus, for these items it is suggested that you sell or disenchant them yourself rather than donate them to the guild, as you can often get more value for them this way, and it cuts down a lot of work for the guild bank. All usable items for the weapon/armor slots shall be taken starting at level 25. Potions are always accepted.

Donation Distribution Rules: (who gets what)
Items in the bank can be requested by any guild member. If it’s an item of lesser value or an item that we have multiples of you’re probably going to receive it right away. If it’s an item of considerable value and necessity we do require that 3 officers agree. So please contact an officer in game to request an item. From there the officer will post on the officer forums to be voted on by 2 others. This is the way we keep our loot distribution fair. Request responses will be based on contributions to the guild whether they are by items or by your activities in guild. There will also be Friday night Guild Meeting loot rolls. In the Friday meeting loot rolls is not restricted to those who have made donations in the past, however we ask that everyone is reasonable about this... if you are successful in rolling for an item of some value and haven't donated in the past, we ask that you consider making some form of donation in the future to repay the guild in some way.

Discrepancies: (when things to bad)
In the life of a guild there comes times when people don't like the outcome of who-gets-what loot. This happens sometimes and here at AN and we have ways to deal with it. For two disagreeing parties who can't decide on the who gets what, the proposed item shall be disenchanted on the spot and sent to the enchanting quartermaster or if its particularly valuable it will be sold on the ah and placed in the guild coffers. If we can't decide who gets the item, then everyone gets the item, simple as that. The officers and quartermasters try to take the best notes they can as to who has contributed what to the guild. We try to watch the guild chat to see who is helping and who is not. That being said, it’s a very inaccurate science no matter how hard one tries. With imperfect science comes imperfect results, thus, this rule is in effect for any problems. I hope and expect that we never have any.

Economics Officer: (what does Harromar do?)
The answer to this is...way too much. Harro is in charge of maintaining the guild Bank, Mayer, and also deciding what is worth keeping and what is worth selling. At times the guild bank will get way to full and to keep new items coming in these items will be disenchanted or sold at the AH at Harro's discretion. Gold received this way will go into the guild coffers to help out with things like, gear for players that can only be bought, higher level enchants, potions to help out in instances, and materials so our quartermasters can further their profession. Harro is basically in charge of making sure donations filter out to the rest of the guild as a whole. Any problems cause by dreaded "guild drama" will result in Harro getting irritated and spending all the guild money and items on dwarven ale to be distributed to the guild officers who obviously need it for dealing with the drama.

NOTE:
Donations are not and will never be mandatory! There will be times when guildies or officers suggest that something be donated. They are by no means telling you to donate it! It is just our way of advertising the guild bank. If at any point you ever feel pressured to donate please let the Guild Master know.
